Connection is the energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued.   At Wipfli, there are intentional efforts to cultivate connection as connection is a superpower and strengthening that is key for a successful and sustainable hybrid workplace.    Our whole Talent and Culture team met in Milwaukee last week. In these moments of synergy and camaraderie, we find ourselves recharged, ready to tackle challenges, and eager to contribute to the team's collective success.    Thank you Wipfli for #momentsthatmatter-moments of connection, fun, celebration, learning, bonding.

    Talent Acquisition Leader

This past week, we stamped another successful annual Talent and Culture conference in Milwaukee. We laughed, we cried, we played, we danced, we learned, and we grew closer together as a family. Our diverse perspectives make us an amazing team. Being part of an organization that brings together some of the brightest minds internally and externally to create so many moments that matter, is truly incredible. When we’re together, we can accomplish anything! I wake up daily feeling thankful for having two families in my life: my personal family and my Wipfli family. It’s often hard to distinguish between the two because of the culture we’ve created here. The sense of belonging at Wipfli is unparalleled to any other organization I’ve been part of. The smile you see on every photo couldn't be more genuine and heartfelt. A special shout-out to Alonzo Kelly for being an incredible conduit between inspiration and motivation. Your keynote was one of the best I’ve experienced! Cannot wait for the next time we are all together! #Wipfli #WipfliWay #JoinWipfli #FeelingInspired #Motivated #TalentAcquisition

Talent Acquisition Manager at Wipfli LLP

As I head home from a week of travels and opportunities to connect with Wipfli’s Talent and Culture team and individuals from other organizations like Christin Hunter from the AICPA, I’m reminded of the truth behind the adage “it takes a village”. From our great internal meetings to this weekends event connecting with high school students from across the US, it’s been a wonderful reminder that we accomplish what we do because we do it with others! Thank you to Maureen Pistone, MBA for leading a wonderful annual meeting, to Kristin Kallies for creating a team that embodies inclusion and to Christin Hunter and Andrew Rogers for connecting Mary Jo Beeby, RACR and I with the Business Professionals of America conference in #chicago this weekend to meet with students wanting to learn more about resume building!! #mywipfli #joinwipfli #recruiting

"Being an inspirational leader takes practice and reflection. You have to understand the big picture, read the room, and know your team. Honing your leadership skills and taking the time to get to know each employee will help foster inspiration as an outcome." Wipfli's Brian Blaha, CPA offers six thought-provoking pillars of inspirational leadership. #Growth #GrowthPerspectives #Leadership #Culture

Chief Growth Officer at Wipfli | Focused Growth, Future Driven

Retaining top talent and keeping them motivated are still major concerns in our industry. My latest article for Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS) Insight magazine reflects on ways leaders can inspire and motivate colleagues, and how to truly engage and connect with your team members. At the end of the day, we’ve got to be human, have empathy and listen to others if we want to lead effectively. https://lnkd.in/gmFK--Zk #accounting #leadership

Senior Manager, Audit at Wipfli LLP

Last night we celebrated Randy Mahoney, who is the recipient of the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs (WICPA) Distinguished Career Award. I have been fortunate to work with Randy over the last ten years and have witnessed his many contributions to our firm, our clients, and our local community. Many of you know Randy as well, and I am certain you can say the same. He is well-recognized and respected in the Fox Valley for his countless contributions as a volunteer, board member, trusted business advisor, leader, and friend. This award is a testament to his unparalleled dedication.   He has been a pivotal leader in our Audit and Accounting Practice, working with clients in our manufacturing, retail, distribution, construction, and real estate industries. Randy is a great technical resource and has a knack for being able to decipher and communicate complex accounting standards into easily understandable and practical terms. He loves spending time with clients, getting to know their operations and people, so he can be the best business advisor in any way he can. He is genuine, passionate, humble, and caring. I have always appreciated Randy’s voice of reason during some of the most challenging of busy seasons. His attitude never faltered – you could never tell he was stressed! He fosters a culture of collaboration, hard work, honesty, integrity, and encourages professional growth for others. Personally, Randy has been a huge advocate for my own career, challenging me to be a better person every day. I’m incredibly grateful for his mentorship and know I would not be where I am today without his guidance. For over 30 years, Randy has proudly represented Wipfli, the accounting profession, and the local community. He will be officially retiring from the firm on May 31, but I am excited to see how his legacy and what he has built upon at Wipfli continue to propel onward. Please join me in congratulating Randy for this well-deserved award!
